Are you self isolating from Coronavirus? Need a hand?
No worries! Let’s pull together like the amazing community we are. Stick some info in below and we’ll connect local good samaritans with those having to self-isolate during the Coronavirus epidemic.
Your information will be held by the Penistone Community Volunteer Leadership Team and only provided to specific volunteers with your prior consent.
Info for people requesting help
What will happen next:
- You will get an email from Love Thy Penistone (it will end @lovethypenistone.co.uk) telling you the name of a volunteer who can help you.
- The ‘Love Thy Penistone’ volunteer will ring you and you can arrange with them what you need and when they can do it. Please check their name and don’t talk to them if it isn’t the person we have told you about
- They will go to the shops and gather the items you asked for and bring them to you
- When the volunteer arrives they will knock on your door or ring your doorbell. They won’t enter your home
- They will leave your items and receipt on the doorstep, step back at least 2 metres and wait for the door to be opened for the items to be collected
- Please take in your shopping and leave cash on the doorstep
- If you need change, close the door and the volunteer will put your change on the doorstep and step back
- Do not make any personal contact such as handshakes. Chatting is fine, as long as you stay 2m apart
If you have any questions or concerns, please call the PAL helpline on 01226 337400
If you can’t pay cash, a member of the Round Table will do your shopping and bring a card reader to your house with your shopping. However, they only have a few card readers so please pay cash if you can.
