Wakefield school making and donating PPE
Visors and scrubs – do you need any or can you help?
Brent Carlin is a friend and teacher of Design and Technology at a local secondary school, and he and my colleagues have been working on producing face visors/shields for front line workers during the pandemic due to the shortage of PPE and we have so far made around 700 that have been donated to hospitals, hospices, care homes, pharmacies, Covid-19 screening centres, social workers, opticians, GP surgeries, etc.
If you are a member of an organisation within the area that is in desperate need of these visors, or if you know of somewhere that might be in need, please email requests to email@example.com and we will make every effort to meet your requirements.
Another friend and colleague at school, Biddy Maher, is leading a team making scrubs for the NHS (alongside the team making visors).
If you are a member of an organisation within the area that is in desperate need of scrubs, or if you know of somewhere that might be in need, please email requests to firstname.lastname@example.org and we will make every effort to meet your requirements.
We are giving these scrubs and visors away for free. Please share this with anybody who you feel it may be of interest to.
I am excited and humbled to have already delivered visors to a care home in our local community. If you or others would like to make a small donation towards purchase of fabric and other PPE materials, we have an official fund raising page for donations here. Any surplus donations will go straight to the NHS!
